Ingredients

For the Brownies:
  • 1 13.25-ounce box Red Velvet Cake Mix (Betty Crocker)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
  • 4 ounces 1/2 block cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup 1/2 stick butter, softened
  • 1 to 1 ½ cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together red velvet cake mix, eggs, and oil until fully combined. The batter will be thick.
  3. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the brownies cool completely before frosting.
  4. Meanwhile, make the cream cheese frosting. Beat softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the softened butter and beat until smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and continue beating until fluffy.
  5. Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
