Instructions
Cut the block of mozzarella cheese into 8-12 thick sticks.
Add the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos to a food processor or blender and pulse until finely crushed. Or, place them in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Transfer the crumbs to a shallow bowl.
In another shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, garlic powder, and paprika. Beat eggs in a third shallow bowl.
Dip each mozzarella stick into the seasoned flour, then the beaten eggs, then the crushed Hot Cheetos. Dip them back into the eggs and Hot Cheetos one more time for a thicker coating.
Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a tray or plate and freeze for 30 minutes.
While the mozzarella sticks chill, stir together the honey and hot chili oil in a small bowl until combined. Adjust the chili oil to taste.
Add about 1/2 inch of oil to a skillet and heat over medium heat until hot. Shallow fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 1 minute per side.
Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and serve immediately with the hot honey for dipping. Enjoy!
